OF THE FOLLOWING GRANT APPLICATIONS!

PES has applied for 5 separate grants to help bring high-speed
internet to rural communities in Giles County. There was a total of $10 million
available and PES could apply for up to $2 million. A total of 77 grants were
submitted within Tennessee for a request $66 million. WE NEED A MASSIVE SHOW OF
SUPPORT!

Giles County,
which is 52.78% broadband unserved, qualified for a 70% grant match. If PES is
awarded all five applications, these projects will total over $2.8 million
dollars.
Providing high-speed internet to
portions of the Anthony Hill, Minor Hill, Prospect, Elkton and Pulaski
communities will be an incredible benefit for the students in those communities
who do not have access to internet. Giles County students in grades 4-12 have
been issued Chromebooks which require internet access. This expansion will
allow PES to provide service to an additional 1505 unserved homes, 47.8% of
which have school age children.

Segments selected were based on several
factors. Greatest customer reach and students impacted for the maximum grant
dollars PES could apply for among them.
