PES and TVA have Teamed Up Donate a Total of $20,000 in COVID-19 Relief for Giles County

PES knows that our Customers need help now! This is why we are proud to announce that PES has partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to provide $20,000 of community relief in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. These funds will be awarded between the The Help Center, God’s Storehouse, and Matthew 25 in an effort to help the local community during these difficult times.

“The pandemic has impacted our community, a community that we are actively a part of. We want our customers to know that PES is here for them, and that we will POWER through this together,” said Richard Kelley, PES CEO. “The Help Center, God’s Storehouse, and Matthew 25 will each receive a portion of these funds to help PES customers in paying their electric bills.”

PES funds will be matched by TVA’s COVID-19 Community Care Fund, which helps local power companies meet immediate needs in their communities by providing matching funds for local initiatives addressing hardships created by this pandemic. “In the spirit of public power, we are honored to partner with local power companies to address the unprecedented challenges facing those we serve,” said Jeanette Mills, TVA Executive Vice President and Chief External Relations Officer. “TVA has a mission of service to make life better for the people of the Valley, and providing these funds to address immediate needs is one way we can help ease the burdens on families and communities.” For additional information about TVA, visit tva.gov.
